Finally Connecting with NC/VA and Myself



Okay so after having those couple bumps along the way getting started on my trip, I had to think about it and just realize I was here for a purpose. A purpose of reconnecting with myself as well as connecting with these new performance communities. So I set my mind forth and got into it once I got into my airbnb, which turned out to be very exquisite and everything that I need it for that week away of Performances and recharging. My first performance was in Winston-Salem with Camel City Burlesk produce by Produced by Selia d'Katzmeow and Ophelia Pop Tart. This was an amazing show full of wonderful talent, a beautiful little venue, a great green room for us performers, (green rooms that's a whole another entry for a whole another time when we talk about what we have to get dressed in) a lovely show and the photographer did the damn thing. This man caught so many beautiful shots of all of the performers and that is hard to do, for some photographers for some reason. But this man caught the action shots, the facial expressions ,the emotions of the acts, all of this was caught within these captures and I can't wait to share more of them. After that show my next show was Going Out to Richmond Virginia and getting to play with Jo'Rie Tigerlilly and all of the Beautiful sexy Bodies in that cast. It was another great and wonderful time! Getting to experience Gallery 5 and the homage that they are doing to the art of burlesque there in the gallery and how much burlesque means to the Richmond community, It was a beautiful thing. The final performance that I had while out on that little mini tour was out in Durham North Carolina and that one was a wonderful time as well. I look forward to getting pictures back from that show. I got to meet some performers that I've been friends with on social media for a long time but hadn't met in real life. After the show I had the most amazing Taco Bell from a little spot down the block from the venue (Lady Gold Tacos) and overall just a great time. I look forward to getting back out to the North Carolina and Virginia area To perform again.

As far as my personal Free time. That was more than amazing and everything that I needed. I had a good number of days to just relax and explore the local North Carolina scenery. Seeing how beautiful it is there. Feeling how HOT it is there. My Ancestors was talking to me through that heat thats for sure. I spent a day at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. A huge highlight of my week being I got to spend time with my "Coastal Bae" and do our adventure thing. Including my regular visits to the local coffee shop ( Front Street coffee) I fell in love with having of course tried many through the week. I took a day and brought myself out to Wilmington beach and just spent the full day down by the water and enjoying the view enjoying being one with the water and just appreciating. Appreciating the life that I have and am able to lead and Being grateful for everywhere that I've been able to go in life. And also being grateful for burlesque and what it is opening my World to.
